Kayla, instructor, stretching arms out

Miss Kayla, Personal Trainer will be leading fitness classes this fall!

With registrations rolling in, we wanted to highlight a NEW class at our Milton location, happening Saturday afternoons from October (starting the weekend after Thanksgiving) to May.

We’ve received feedback from families about the importance of fitness – and wanting MORE classes to motivate movement in a FUN environment. We happened to have an experienced and passionate personal trainer teaching classes for us who is thrilled to offer this unique opportunity to our community – Kayla Prior (Little), one of our FIRST volunteers will be your fitness coach throughout these inclusive fitness sessions for all abilities!

This 45-minute FIT & FUN class is open to our teen/young adult dancers…and the best part is …a parent or sibling can join for free! We’re supporting families to be active and experience the joy of movement together!

There are 25 sessions scheduled from October – May Saturdays from 1:15 – 2:00 PM. Cost is $395.50 for the 25 sessions (1 parent or sibling participates for free with each registered dancer). This is a great deal for small group fitness and a fun way to stay active through the winter.

Q & A with Miss Kayla:

What do you love most about fitness training?

The thing I love most about fitness training is that it can be catered to anyone meaning we can get our own variation of an awesome workout!

What experience do you have with fitness training?

I have been working as a Trainer now for 6 years working with one on one clients, bootcamps, stroller fitness and corporate wellness. I also have focused quite a bit of my career as a trainer working with injuries and rehabilitation.

What will the focus of this new Fit & Fun class be?

The focus of the class will keep changing week to keep the fitness component funky fresh. I want participants to learn about how to best move their own bodies to sustain a happy and healthy lifestyle!

What sort of activities can participants expect?

Participants can expect a range of workout methods such as interval training, yoga/pilates variations and stretching/mobility using their own bodyweight, basic equipment and visual aids.

What are you most excited about for this new class?

I’m so excited to share my other passion with The Dance Ability Movement team to yet again break down barriers and showcase that fitness can also be inclusive!
